Tory Council leave development site empty for three years (l to r) Hamida Ali, Joy Prince and David Christison are furious that the Croydon Council has purposefully left the site on Purley Way empty for the last three years. The Tories have made so many promises about when this site will be brought back in to use, it is hard to believe any of them. They had planned hundreds of flats to pay for the development, they have now 'reduced' this to a couple of hundred! Haling Manor Success Story The Government recognises the impressive achievements at local school, Haling Manor: "The long-term trend is one of sustained improvement and the continued improvement in results is testament to the dedication of our teachers and hard working pupils" The local Conservatives ignore this evidence and continue to run down this good school.
