Upper Norwood Library Campaign Strong Remember to keep up to date with the Campaign to protect Upper Norwood Library from closure. Look at the special micro site at www.OurLibrary.org.uk for full details including the result of the referendum recorded on video.... Westwood Language College for Girls to Close? Labour was shocked at the Council 'consultation' that included plans to close Westwood and merge it with Hailing Manor some 6 miles away! The replacement Academy would be almost twice the size of Westwood. If it was located in Upper Norwood it would cause a huge amount of disruption to residents and cause significant traffic problems as lots of parents would have to drive the six miles from South Croydon to Upper Norwood.
