Labour: fighting for you across Croydon and Sutton
UPDATE TO PREVIOUS STORY
Last night the Tory Councillors (as predicted) voted to push through their own planning application for a brand new Council HQ costing £450million.
In today's Croydon Advertiser (Friday 11 September 2009) it has been revealed that Croydon Council signed an agreement with the developer (half owned by Croydon Council) that it would pay 'damages' of £100,000 per week if the development was delayed by the Fell Road offices not being decanted on time.
Did this self imposed fine weigh heavily on the minds of Conservative Councillors hearing the planning application?
