Tory Council leave development site empty for three years

Empty Construction Site (l to r) Hamida Ali, Joy Prince and David Christison are furious that the Croydon Council has purposefully left the site on Purley Way empty for the last three years.

The Tories have made so many promises about when this site will be brought back in to use, it is hard to believe any of them.

They had planned hundreds of flats to pay for the development, they have now 'reduced' this to a couple of hundred! Most of these flats would be built to overlook the houses on the east side of Purley Way towards Croydon Town Centre.
