Sorting out Croydon Council’s finances

Croydon_freeze

Croydon Labour has called for a freeze on Croydon’s council tax for
the past two years. Unfortunately the Conservative Council has
rejected this, choosing instead to increase taxes by 13.5% or
£136.78 for a Band D property, whilst at the same time reducing
front-line services. Croydon Conservatives have decided to use your
council tax to build a new luxury council office HQ, costing Croydon
residents over £450 million.

Croydon Labour is committed to sorting out the Council’s finances by
scrapping the plan to build the new council headquarters, and will
use some of the savings to ensure that the council tax is frozen next
year to help hard-working families.

We are committed to applying our principles of value and fairness, to
invest in future generations, by improving schools and protecting
the environment, whilst ensuring that our senior citizens are not
forgotten. Croydon will once again become a town where people
choose to live in, and businesses want to invest in.

Designed and built by Tangent Snowball. Hosted by Rackspace, 2 Longwalk Road, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, UB11 1BA.
