Norbury Clean Up
Many residents have complained to Norbury councillors and other North Croydon councillors of the incleasing street litter and fly tipping.
We have worked with residents in Central Norbury on a litter picking day and to display posters in that area and at the school asking people to "Keep Norbury Tidy" and "Take your litter home".
The Tory council had put a £10 charge on bulk rubbish collection which was free under Labour. We know that people without a car and on a tight budget have difficulty.
We want the free collection restored and a campaign to deter dumping and more vigorous enforcement with CCTV and fines on the usual duming streets.
If you support this please sign the petition. Cllr Shafi Khan has already presented 1,000 signatures, but we need to maintain the pressure on the Tories by continuing this petition.
Petition to Croydon Council asking for a Clean-up of Norbury and North Croydon
We, the Residents’ Associations, business people and communities of Norbury, petition Croydon Council to clean-up Norbury and the other wards in North Croydon. We want and need a free bulk collection service, fly-tipping prevention, campaign against dog mess, effective street cleaning, business and domestic rubbish collection.
