Labour: fighting for you across Croydon
Dear Resident,
A Message from Your MP
We have all been shocked and disgusted by the riots that have hit Croydon. The arsons, burning buildings, the smashing of windows and theft and robbery on horrific scales are an absolute disgrace.
I have been deeply saddened by what I have seen. Having visited the areas affected and listened to hundreds of victims, I am demanding the toughest possible sentences for the thugs and hooligans. I have also called on the police to use far more robust tactics.
It is imperative now that help for victims comes quickly and that local businesses are up and running again as soon as possible. Please find overleaf a list of numbers that may be useful.
I have already raised local concerns with the Prime Minister when he visited Croydon. I am also meeting local police officers and aim to raise the Croydon events in the House of Commons.
Yours sincerely
MALCOLM WICKS
