Labour: fighting for you across Croydon and Sutton
Croydon's local newspaper has publish an expose on Croydon Tories plan to rush the opening of Phase 2 of the Addiscombe Railway Park before the election purdah starts at the end of March 2010 for the May 6th 2010 local elections. At the Croydon Council Meeting tonight the Tories shamelessly confirmed they planned to "open" phase 2 the park on March 13th 2010 even though the park is not yet in a fit state to open, as they needed to do this before the end of March otherwise political restrictions would kick in to stop this blantant electioneering.
Sean Fitzsimons said "local residents are already upset at the Tories for the disregard of resident safety and security and most can't believe that their local Tory Councillors are more interested in their own publicity than the needs of local residents."
Croydon Labour Party has promised to listen to local residents concerns and to take action to improve the fencing and planting if elected.
