Addiscombe Tories replacement candidate led attack on Andrew Pelling

Croydon Tories has replaced Adam Kellett as candidate with Robert King, who has been one of the lead attackers on Andrew Pelling and his decision to stand against Lord Ashcroft's aide, Gavin Barwell, in Croydon Central.

Sean Fitzsimons, one of Addiscombe Labour Candidates said "we already had one Addiscombe Tory councillor cut and run by moving to Bromley, and now his replacement Adam Kellett has also decided to seek an easier ride from the electorate and seek his fortune elsewhere. Now we have a third Tory candidate who seems more interested in attacking Andrew Pelling than representing the people of Addiscombe."

The Tory candidate who has been parachuted in at the last moment has been one of the Tory lead attack dog on Andrew Pelling. Some of his recent comments include: "Andrew has spent the past 2 years feeling sorry for himself and he's now taken this foolish course of action to purely to satisfy his own ego."  Rob King Croydon Advertiser (new Tory candidate for Addiscombe)

Over the last year, Patricia, Mark and Sean have knocked on 1000's of residents doors and spoken to numerous residents of Addiscombe. The consistent meessage they have told us is they want councillors who will put Addiscombe first, and they deplore the petty politics of the local Conservatives who campaign are based on personalities and personal abuse.

Mark Watson said "the Addiscombe Labour Party will fight the local election on May 6th on the basis of making Addiscombe a better place, with better street lighting, no to Croydon Tory plans for 10,000 skyscraper homes in Town Centre, and to stop the waste of resident money on a luxury Council HQ. The Addiscombe Tories campaign tactics seems to be to attack Andrew Pelling at all costs."

Patricia Hay-Justice said "it is sad when former friends and colleagues turn on each others. In Croydon Labour we are 100% behind Gerry Ryan, our candidate for Croydon Central, this can't be said to be true for the local conservatives."
