A greener Croydon

recycle logoNo Incinerator logoCroydon Labour is committed to doubling recycling by introducing weekly collections: both recyclables and general waste. We are also committed to widening the range of waste that can be recycled, including food waste.

Croydon Labour is astonished at the lack of commitment to the environment of the Conservative run Croydon Council.

Croydon Labour is committed to continuing its opposition to the building of an incinerator in south London. You cannot build an incinerator and have a truly green council.

Croydon Labour has also opposed the Conservative Council’s policy of approving planning applications which lead to over-devoloping our community, and reducing the amount of open spaces.

Croydon Labour is proud of its achievements in ethical investments and supporting fair trade. We will end the Conservative Council’s policy of investing in tobacco companies. We will protect our fair trade town status.

Croydon Labour’s commitment to a fairer, greener Croydon goes beyond recycling. We are committed to restoring levels of street cleaning in areas where the Conservatives have cut back.
