A fair deal for pensioners

Croydon Labour recognises that pensioners need a fairer deal. Often with limited incomes, they are not always able to afford energysaving home improvements. Pensioners also feel the pinch when council tax increases.

 

 

Croydon Labour will:

  • rebate pensioner households £130 on their council tax bill. This will help older people by reducing the unfair burden on them.
  • introduce environmental programmes to improve insulation in the home and reduce energy bills
  • 4 Labour pioneered a programme in Croydon to build 4 new care homes and a specialist dementia centre. These have now been opened or are in the final stages of completion. Started by Labour in Croydon, funded by the Labour government
