A Croydon to be proud of

swimming_pool

Croydon Labour is bitterly disappointed at the complete failure of the Conservative council to invest in Croydon. They have scrapped plans to build a leisure centre in South Norwood. They’ve failed to build new leisure facilities in New Addington and Waddon, and are planning to close Purley swimming pool.

Croydon Labour is committed to investing in services for local people, and ensuring that Croydon has leisure and arts facilities to rival any in London.

Using some of the savings from scrapping the Tories new luxury council HQ, Croydon Labour will:

  • build a new leisure centre in New Addington
  • build a new leisure centre in Addiscombe/East Croydon
  • build a new leisure centre in South Norwood
  • build a new leisure centre in Waddon
  • save Purley Pool from it’s closure by the Conservatives

Fairfield HallsCroydon Labour has continued to oppose the Conservative council’s policy of abandoning the arts in Croydon. Croydon Labour is committed to investing in local communities – improving our libraries, investing in our award-winning Warehouse Theatre and supporting the Fairfield Halls in their plan to renovate and revitalise their venue.
